Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of this University is one of the largest educational organizations in the country. It has 180 educational units under its umbrella including 80 Colleges and Institutes of conventional and professional disciplines. The Department of Human Resource Development, Government of India on the recommendations of the University Grants Commission accorded the status of "Deemed to be University" initially to a cluster of 12 units of Bharati Vidyapeeth. Subsequently, 17 additional colleges / institutes were brought within the ambit of Bharati Vidyapeeth wide various notifications of the Government of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth commenced its functioning on 26th April, 1996. During the last 20 years or so, the University has achieved higher pinnacle of academic excellence and has established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various parts of India but also from abroad.
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) is one among the top ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present, there are more than 602 overseas students from 45 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this university. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University Institute of Management and Research (BVIMR) was established in 1992 at Paschim Vihar, Delhi. Recognised by UGC, the institute offers various courses like BBA, BBA LLB, BCA, LLB, and MBA. It houses state-of-the-art facilities, including centrally air-conditioned class rooms and library labs. The institute was ranked 99th for MBA by Outlook 2020. It is ISO 9001:2015 certified and has ‘A++’ grade accreditation by NAAC. The basic eligibility for the admission into MBA program is a Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ ST candidates). Students must complete their academic career in 10+2+3/10+2+4 format with a senior secondary certificate.
