Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (CIEM) is a prominent private college in Kolkata and was established in 2003. Over the years, it has emerged as a leading institution for engineering and management studies in the region. CIEM holds approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Affiliated with the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), CIEM offers different courses including engineering, computer applications, and management. Admission to CIEM is granted through two entrance exams, namely WBJEE and MAKAUT CET. For the MBA Program, CIEM accommodates a total of 60 students with a course fee of INR 1.25 Lakh.CIEM offers a range of student-friendly facilities, including a well-equipped library, modern laboratories, a cafeteria, a language lab, and computer facilities.
With a committed placement cell, CIEM actively facilitates campus recruitment drives and provides career guidance to its students. The placement cell maintains strong tie-ups with reputed companies, inviting them for on-campus placements.
While the final placement report for the 2023 batch is pending, media reports indicate an impressive placement rate of 95% thus far. Moreover, during the CIEM placements in 2022, the average package stood at INR 2 LPA, with the highest package offered reaching INR 10 LPA.
