The Post Graduate Programme at IIM Nagpur is a two-year, full-time residential programme which requires all the students to reside in campus throughout the duration of the programme. The institute has state of the art hostel facilities which includes adequately furnished rooms with access to the recreation room, fitness centre/gym, games and sports etc. The hostel mess provides quality food four times a day where the menu is decided by the students in collaboration with the mess staff. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served in the dining hall. Each hostel room has a fan, a cot, mattress, wardrobe/cupboard, study table, and chair. During the winter season, the minimum temperature at Nagpur is about 10 degree Celsius. Students may consider bringing light warm clothes. For the use of electrical gadgets in the hostel rooms, special permission should be obtained from the In-charge, Student Activity Office (SAO).

 

About IIM Nagpur

Admissions & Cut-Offs

The CAT cut-offs shown in Table 2 will be used for selecting eligible candidates for all subsequent stages. The CAT-2019 score is the single criterion used as the basis for arriving at the first shortlist (List 1). Only candidates with positive scores (>0) in all sections of the CAT will be considered for the admission process.

EWS Reservations

IIM Nagpur is implementing reservation for candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) as per GoI guidelines, and the eligibility for reservation for EWS candidates is as follows:

a) Persons who are not covered under the scheme of reservation for SCs, STs, and OBCs and whose family has a gross annual income below Rs. 8,00,000/- (Rupees eight lakh only) is to be identified as EWS for the benefit of reservation. Income shall also include income from all sources, i.e., salary, agriculture, business, profession, etc. for the financial year prior to the year of application. Also, persons whose family owns or possesses any of the following assets shall be excluded from being identified as EWS, irrespective of the family income:

  • 5 acres of agricultural land and above

  • Residential flat of 1000 sq. ft. and above

  • Residential plot of 100 sq. yards and above in notified municipalities

  • Residential plot of 200 sq. yards and above in areas other than the notified municipalities

  • The property held by a “Family” in different locations or different places/cities would be clubbed while applying the land or property holding test to determine EWS status.

  • The term “Family” for this purpose will include the person who seeks the benefit of reservation, his/her parents, and siblings below the age of 18 years as also his/her spouse and children below the age of 18 years.

Scholarships

Special Need-Based Scholarship (SNBS) :

IIM Nagpur ensures that financial inability should not be an impediment for an individual who is admitted to pursue its PGP programme. In this regard, the Institute provides Special Need-Based Scholarships (SNBS) with the provision of a fee waiver to eligible students. The eligibility of the students for the scholarship is determined by their credit status and their annual family income. The amount they receive as part of this scholarship will be determined by their annual family income and the value of the movable and immovable assets belonging to the family.
IIM Nagpur will also facilitate a number of scholarships which are awarded by the Government of India and various state governments. Some of them are as follows:

  • Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students

How to reach

At the moment, IIM Nagpur functions from its transit campus located within the premises of VNIT Nagpur. The Institute is located in the western part of the Nagpur city, about 7 km from Nagpur Railway Station and 6.5 km from Nagpur Airport. The permanent campus of IIM Nagpur is under construction in the MIHAN area and is expected to be completed soon.
