About Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT- Bhubaneswar)

The former name Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) was but was Institute of Business Administration and Training. KIIT was grounded in 1993. Today as a park of KIIT University, KIIT School of Management firmly stands still on that vision. KSOM provides students the right balance between classroom training and practical exposure to turn into successful fire brands. The MBA program of KIIT School of Management (KSOM) is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. The MBA program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE . KIIT has the distinction of being the youngest institute ever in the country to be declared a University ( U/S 3 of UGC Act, 1956) by the MHRD, Government of India and one of the 10 Private Institutes to get ‘Institution of Eminence’ tag from UGC. KIIT has been awarded NAAC Accreditation in “A” grade. The institution is known for its high quality academics with an updated course curriculum bowed down towards industrial interaction and hands on exposure.

The institution’s constant endeavour has been to ensure that learning is both rigorous and fun at the same time. KSOM’s learning, experience and adaptation structure ensures that students seamlessly fit into any role they are assigned on the job. This is achieved by a mix of out-of-classroom learning, role-plays, business simulation, live consultancy projects, seminar interaction with business leaders, a structured summer internship, regular workshops, club activities, research undertaken by students and jointly working with the industry through partnership and tie-ups.

Faculty at KSOM comes as a blessing to the students. With a teacher to student ratio of 1:10 and several faculties being drawn from IIMs and other premium B-schools, few MBA institutions match KSOM in the quality of faculty. KSOM attaches significant importance to mentoring, which over the years has matured and evolved to play a vital role in the life of a KSOMian. The faculty at KSOM is a healthy mix of young and old, the academically seasoned and the corporate experienced. Faculty members regularly get involved with students beyond academics through mentoring and club activities. KSOM regularly conducts Faculty Development Programs with resources from institutions such as IIM Ahmedabad to train the newly inducted faculty members as well as engage the old, not only for academic development, but also for institutional development. KIIT School of Management is an institute where your dream can come true and future endeavour accomplished.
