Dr. Anita Basalingappa is Professor in Marketing and Chairperson – Online Programs. Prior to joining MICA, she was associated with Vishesh Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Karnatak University, Dharwad.

Dr. Anita Basalingappa has recently published a research paper on understanding relationships between customers and rural retail. This is an extension to her work in the area of managing customer relationships and marketing & branding in the rural context. She has research and teaching interests in Marketing theory and Critical Marketing. A conceptual paper is accepted for publication in The Marketing Review on Marketing, Communication and Democracy which is a dialogue between the Marketing discipline and Communication discipline

Dr. Apurva Sanaria studied at IIM-Ahmedabad and completed his FPM in Organization Behavior from XLRI-Jamshedpur. He has more than 18 years of industry experience in reputed business organizations such as IMRB-Kantar, ICICI Group, and Future Group. His last corporate stint was as “Group Director - HR & OD” with IMRB-Kantar (WPP Group).

He is a leading various initiatives at MICA including the Start-Up Initiatives (SUI), Urban Impact Projects (UIP), and the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). He is also a member of the Center for Development Management & Communication (CDMC) and CCC Committees at MICA.

Dr. Anjali Bansal specializes in the area of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. Her current teaching responsibilities include facilitating the students in Change Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, Leadership and Organizational Dynamics at PGP level. She also teaches Research Methodology and Contemporary Issues in Management in FPM and in Online PGP courses respectively.

Over the years, Anjali has served many committees including research committee, ICMC (annual international conference) committee, YRC (Young Researchers’ Consortium), rural immersion etc. Currently, Anjali chairs the Dissertation Program at MICA. She is also the Lead of the International Immersion Programs at MICA, responsible for managing students and faculty international immersion.

He is an Associate Professor leading the area of Marketing Analytics at MICA. He has worked as Adjunct Faculty in the field of Quantitative Marketing Research at MICA (Ahmedabad, India) for the last 7 years. He was then based out of Gurgaon, India and has taught at other Management institutes including Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur, Symbiosis, Pune and Development Management Institute, Patna. His courses include Quantitative Techniques, Business Analytics, Multivariate Data Analysis, Marketing Research, Online Research and Pricing Research. He has more than 13 years of experience. For the first 5 years of his career he worked in the IT, MR and Data Analytics industry after which he has been a regular in academics. He also consults the current Delhi government and Delhi Commission for Women on matters pertaining to Research and Analysis.

His courses include Quantitative Techniques, Business Analytics, Multivariate Data Analysis, Marketing Research, Online Research and Pricing Research. He has more than 13 years of experience. Dr. Dharun holds a Masters of Engineering (M.E.) degree in Industrial Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and a Ph.D. in Marketing and Analytics from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirappalli. He was conferred with the most prestigious student awards titled "The Best All Rounder" (in Curricular, Extra Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities) of PSG College of Technology 2015. He was the youngest researcher to receive a Ph.D. at NIT Trichy in Management at an early age of 25.

Dr. Falguni Vasavada is Professor & Chair, Strategic Marketing Area at MICA. She is a double gold medalist with over two decades of teaching experience in the area of Marketing and Advertising. She teaches across programs and also runs online programs in the area of Advertising Management & Public Relations, Marketing & Brand Management for working professionals. She has trained corporate professionals and mentored young entrepreneurs. She has published in International Journals and presented papers in national and international conferences and is involved in international joint research projects in the area of advertising. She is a visiting faculty at management institutes of repute in India and overseas. She is a frequently invited speaker to reputed forums/panels/events and also is a TEDx speaker.

Her teaching, research and consultancy interests are in the area of Advertising, Branding, and Social Media.

She Speaks on Advertising, Branding, Marketing, Social Media, Personal Branding, Gender Equality, Body Positivity, Women Empowerment, Work Life Balance, Happiness as a Lifestyle and Motivation.

Harmony Siganporia teaches in the area of Culture and Communication at MICA. She has a Ph.D. in social history, and her thesis was on the langue and parole of reformist discourse around the ‘women’s question’ in late-19th century Western India. A practicing musician, Harmony’s other research interests include ethnomusicology, gender and performativity, culture and conflict, the role of music in the emplacement of exilic identities, and semiotic theory.

Dr. Jay Trivedi holds about a decade long corporate experience with India’s leading media companies like HT Media Ltd, Radio One Ltd and The Indian Express. He holds a PhD from Gujarat University and has published with Scopus Indexed and ABDC listed journals. His teaching experience spans across India’s well known universities. Dr. Trivedi is an IAMAI and Google certified digital marketing professional.

Dr. Kallol Das started his career in the corporate world with the likes of multinationals like Caltex and Gulf Oil. Subsequently, he moved to brand and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) consulting. After 5 years in the industry, he shifted to academics, where he found his true calling. He has been now in the teaching profession for more than 15 years. His teaching interests include customer relationship management (CRM), gamification, qualitative marketing research, and services marketing. His present research interests include gamification, loyalty program design, motivation design, service branding, pedagogy, etc. He has authored a large number of research papers/ case studies in reputed international publications such as Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Journal of Marketing Education, Harvard Business School Case Collection, etc. He has also written two books on CRM, which have been well received. He is the pioneer of the photo-novel genre of literature in India, besides being an award-winning filmmaker.

Prof. Manisha Pathak-Shelat has taught and worked as a media consultant/trainer and researcher in India, Thailand, and the US. She has a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA and in Education from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.

Manisha’s special interests are young people’s media cultures new media, civic engagement, transcultural citizenship, media literacy and gender. Broadly, her research over the years has addressed the question of how ordinary individuals engage with media to experience agency, to explore identities, and to participate in social change. Her research projects include a study on online civic engagement and transcultural citizenship, an ongoing inquiry in digital youth cultures in India and an Academy of Finland sponsored multi-country youth media participation project. At present she is leading the UNICEF-MICA partnership and the India component of the Global Kids Online study initiated by Innocenti-Unicef Office of research and the London School of Economics. Manisha has shared her research on several international platforms and her work has been published in Journal of Youth Studies, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, New Media & Society, Communication Inquiry, Journal of Children and Media, Communicar, Media Asia, and as chapters in several books. She has received a number of awards and fellowships including The Soviet Land Nehru Award, Shastri Indo-Canadian Faculty Research Award, The Salzburg Seminar Fellowship and TATA Fellowship for the Study of Contemporary India. She is also the editor of the Journal of Creative Communications published by MICA for Sage. She has led several capacity building programs for non-profits, various state governments, corporate sector, and international organisations in communication and information management.

Prof. Pathak Shelat has worked as consultant/advisor/resource person with various social sector organizations such as Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Centre for Environment Education, SEWA, The Adani Foundation, Mahila Samakhya, The United Way of Baroda, UNESCO and UNICEF among others.

Dr. Mathur has been with MICA for about 12 years. She has worked in the industry in business development and marketing for over 3 years and spent about 14 years in academics. She has been instrumental in introducing the one-year PG programmes in Retail at MICA. She has worked in the domain of Retail Management for last Fourteen years, published, conducted industry programmes and PG programmes. She pioneered a unique pedagogy, ‘Retail Yatra’ a field study in the retail programmes.

Nitesh Mohanty is a visual artist who works at the fluid intersection of arts, culture, media, communication and self-reflection. His theoretical interests are also wide, often inquiring about the roots and fundamentals of art history, storytelling and philosophy.

Nitesh Mohanty graduated from Sir J.J. School of Art, Bombay & acquired post-graduation education from NID, Ahmedabad, specializing in Textile Design; He has been a design consultant to various brands within retail, fashion, media, publishing & hospitality industry. Over the last 16 years, he’s worked with clients such as Mocha Coffees and Conversation, Shoppers’ Stop, Penguin Books India, Rolling Stones, Smoke House Grill, Films Division, Children Films Society of India, Oxfam India, Amnesty International etc.

He was the co-founder of “The Root” a platform initiated to propagate various social, cultural, political & ecological concerns through various literary and creative mediums. He curated “The Root Reel” which showcased independent features, documentary, world cinema & animation films from closer home & across the world.

He is also a visiting faculty at School of Media and Culture Studies, TISS & FTII. He is currently heading the Crafting Creative Communication Programme at MICA where he shares the relationship between art, design, photography & cinema through a course called ‘Ways of Seeing’ along with modules such as Introduction to Photography, Film Appreciation & Storytelling.

Nitesh Mohanty has just self-published his first photo book titled, Nowhere.
