Vishwakarma Institute of Management (V.I.M )as it is commonly abbreviated, was founded in 1991. It is a renowned institute which is affiliated to University of Pune. College provides scholarship and EBC waive off to the certain number of students who are eligible in the reserved caste and for students who's income is less and they have non creamy layer certiflcate.
College conducts the various events on frequent basis which are combination of learning and fun. Every quarter we organize a industrial visit in which we used to learn the various aspects of management. College had organised programs on cultural events such as independence day and various festivals of the India. College has also participated in the Fresh face competition organised by Radio Mirrchi.

The Anti - Ragging Committee whose role is to monitor the measures taken by the Institute for prevention of ragging and for looking into the specific instances of ragging. The Anti-Ragging Squad shall keep vigil, surveillance and patrolling functions. It shall be kept on mobile, alert and active at all times and shall be empowered to inspect places of potential ragging. The Squad shall investigate incidents of ragging and make recommendations to the Anti Ragging Committee.
As per the Supreme Court of India order, anyone indulging in ragging will be punished appropriately. Institute has a 'Zero tolerance policy' in this respect.
